Scholarship Award to Indigent Students
Awkulite scholarship award to Indigent Students which started in 2011 is the major project being handled by Awkunanaw Enlightenment Foundation. This is so because Awkulite sees Youth empowerment as the best and surest way to develope the Community. Unfortunately, due to the high rate of poverty in our Society, many highly brilliant youths fall by the way side in their academic pursuit due to lack of fund.
To tackle this problem, Awkulite seeks for scholarship sponsorship from Individuals, Govermental and Non-Governmental organisations in and outside Nigeria. Once such sponsorships are obtained, Awkulite takes it upon itself to ensure that the most Indigent Student in the field of interest is selected through a well orgainised scrutiny by the Education Committee of the Foundation.
To ensure that 100% of the fund released by the sponsor is used for the scholarship, beneficiaries of the scholarship are made to open personal bank accounts into which deposits to cover their school fees and other expenses are directly made by the sponsor. Awkulite bears the cost of logistics and ensures that the students are living up to expectations.

I profoundly thank Awkulite, especially Chief Friday Chukwu, for this gesture. In everything I am most thankful to the ever living God for not letting me down. I pray that as God has lifted me out of the pit of illiteracy, He will empower me to do the same to indigent students, especially those from Awkunanaw for we are still behind in education.

Given my pitiable background, Awkulite prevented my dream of being a renowned pharmacist from being a mirage by giving me this scholarship, I will do my best to see that the future generation will benefit from it, by being the best in my field and giving like opportunity to those who would be in my shoe tomorrow.
